Chelsea is a partner with Luis Ruiz Law. During her time with our firm, Chelsea has fiercely advocated for clients in a wide variety of cases, including cases involving waivers, VAWA, U-Visas, complex adjustment of status cases, passport cases, humanitarian reinstatement, and Federal Litigation. She is immensely proud of her legal research and writing abilities and that she is able to put them to good use winning complicated cases for the clients of Luis Ruiz Law.
While in law school at the University of Houston Law Center, Chelsea spent two years working in the Immigration Clinic as a student attorney, during which time she argued an immigration case in front of the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Houston Journal of International Law, competed on her law school’s national mock trial team, and won multiple advocacy awards. She was also inducted into the National Order of the Scribes for her excellence in legal writing, the Order of the Coif for high scholastic achievement in law school, and was awarded the “Distinguished Service Award” by the law school faculty.
In her free time, Chelsea is actively involved in community theatre, both on stage and off stage. She recently starred in Steel Magnolias and Plaza Suite, and was Stage Manager for Little Shop of Horrors. She also enjoys traveling, binge-watching TV with her wife and three dogs, and eating all different types of delicious cuisines.
